Audience Participation

Members of the High Mesa Community have the right to speak during any posted Board meeting, however, time is a luxury we cannot afford to waste. We have limited opportunities during the year to meet and discuss the many issues that face us as a community. As a result, the following procedures are encouraged to allow for a more efficient interaction between the board and its members.

All community members who wish to address an item that is on the agenda, submit a speaker card to our Cadden Representative at the beginning of the meeting (include your name, item number and your question/concern) He will forward it to ensure that your question/concern is addressed at the appropriate time.

All community members who wish to address an issue that is not on the agenda, you may do so during the Call to Audience. Submit a speaker card to our Cadden Representative at the beginning of the meeting (include your name, and your question/concern) He will forward as appropriate to ensure that your question/concern is addressed.

As this matter is not on the Agenda, the board’s response will be limited. The Board may ask that the Cadden Representative review a matter, ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda, or respond to criticism made by speakers. The Board will not discuss or take legal action on any matters that are not on the Agenda.

Note: You may be called upon or engaged to clarify or expand upon your questions. As time is limited, we will however, attempt to keep discussions to no more than 3 minutes.
